Session 5: Friday, April 13th, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM "Digital Artistry - The New Landscape of Musicianship" The iconic electronic instruments of the 80's played a major role in the sonic identity of top artists like Prince, Peter Gabriel, Kraftwerk, New Order, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, and many others. They were expensive machines, each with groundbreaker sonic character that shaped an era of mega-hits. Today, it is common for an EDM artist to have hundreds of soft synths in their laptop, each loaded with pre-packaged musical building blocks written by other musicians. This A3E session will delve into the creative process of focusing your sound, and honing your unique musical personality in the oversaturated world of music software. We'll go deep in the realm of Digital Artistry with artists who push the boundaries of EDM, Pop, Rock, and Film Score.
